Homemade Ketchup Recipe

Want to avoid High Fructose Corn Syrup and other additives that are in many store-bought ketchup brands?

Here’s a simple recipe for making your own ketchup from scratch…

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 Tbsp raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp honey (preferably raw)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon powdered cloves (or a “pinch,” to taste – – better to start low and add more if needed!)
  • 1 can tomato paste

DIRECTIONS:

Whisk together vinegar, water and honey.

Add seasonings and mix well.

Whisk in tomato paste and combine well.

Transfer to air-tight jar or container and refrigerate. Keeps about 1 month in the fridge.
